Omar Espinoza is Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota’s Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering Department.
He also chairs the Forest Products Management Development Institute, an initiative to support the Forest Products Industry in Minnesota.
Omar obtained his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering and worked for 7 years in the wood products industry as production manager. He earned an MBA at the Florida International University, and Master and Doctoral degrees in Wood Science and Forest Products at Virginia Tech.
He started in his current position in August of 2011.
His research interests are in the areas of process improvement, product development and management, and supply chain management.
